Negretti and Zambra Weather Forecaster
Description: This device, was widely used in the early 20th century and can accurately predict the weather with amazing precision. It has the ability to predict short-term weather patterns based on barometric pressure, pressure trends, seasonal variations and wind direction. By studying pressure fronts and the boundaries between high-pressure and low-pressure zones, the Negretti & Zambra forecaster can accurately predict whether you can expect sunny skies or stormy weather with an accuracy of around 85% over a 12 hour window.
Provenance & History: The original inventor behind this device was E. W. Kitchin who designed the initial mechanical weather forecaster system based on localized barometric pressure trends, wind direction, and seasonal factors. Negretti & Zambra subsequently acquired the rights to his design, refined and improved the mechanical calculation layout, and officially patented it in 1915 under British Patent No. 6276/15. That design eventually became famous as the basis for the Zambretti algorithm.
